Terms of Service
Last updated May 27, 2026
1. Who We Are
These Terms govern your use of Mesa, a document reader and local workspace made available by Mesa / hyle. For questions about these Terms, contact 0xhyle@gmail.com.
2. Access And Licenses
Mesa is paid one-time license software. Access to the full program may require an active license, a valid private grant, or a valid signed entitlement. If your license is refunded, charged back, quarantined for abuse, revoked, or otherwise invalidated, Mesa may stop issuing or accepting access entitlements.
A Mesa license is a right to use the software under these Terms. It does not transfer Mesa copyright, trademarks, source code, or other intellectual property. Future NFT proof, if offered, is optional evidence of a license record and is not required to use Mesa.
Payment checkout, invoices, taxes, payment methods, and certain buyer support functions may be handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle buyer terms may also apply to your purchase.
3. Your Documents
You keep ownership of your documents, notes, exports, settings, and other local content. Mesa must not be used as your only backup. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important files.
Mesa is designed as a local document workspace. User documents are not uploaded to Mesa by default.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Mesa or the Mesa website. Prohibited activity includes payment fraud, license circumvention, resale or sharing of access in violation of these Terms, attempts to bypass entitlement checks, interference with payment or activation systems, abusive automated traffic, and use that violates applicable law.
Each one-time license allows two active devices by default. If a license appears leaked, publicly shared, or exploited, Mesa may quarantine the license, block new activations, revoke abusive device slots, or revoke the license after review.
5. Software Changes
Mesa is under active development. Features, supported platforms, availability, pricing, and access rules may change. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the software or website when needed for maintenance, security, legal, business, or product reasons.
6. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mesa is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, compatibility with every file or system, error-free operation, recovery of lost data, or that Mesa will meet every particular need.
7. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mesa / hyle will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or loss of goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded, liability is limited to the amount you paid for Mesa in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Mandatory Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your location. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
9. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies from its stated last-updated date. Continued use of Mesa after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
